BLIND bASS
Sticker Specifications
A whimsical, tongue-in-cheek sticker series built around the realization that a surprising number of words pair with ‘ass.’ Go figure.
With the added goal of keeping the designs accessible to kids, my own kids and their friends were used as a litmus test. These sticker designs hit the sweet spot I was looking for: playful, a little cheeky, but still kid-approved. More dumb-funny than actually inappropriate.
About this
sticker series
Of the series thus far, this one was definitely the most difficult artwork to resolve. I kept getting stuck trying to make the body flat while making the tail and head bulge from being squished. The perspective challenges really weren't too challenging, but they didn't feel cohesive until the head and tail issues were satisfied.
After spending days trying to get the those issues fixed, I noticed my kid playing with Play-Doh. So I grabbed a Hot Wheels truck with some beefy tires and went to town making a visual model out of tire tracks.
I had to revise the fins and markings along any area that was squished. It added to much detail to have all of the markings and the shading for tread imprint.
